Introductory Prayers

Let us pray

Glory Be

Offering Prayer

O Sweet Jesus! We offer our souls to Thee, because for God’s love for humanity, Thou wert made a man by virtue of thy Incarnation; and to give an example of humility, Thou didst prefer to be born in a cave used as a shelter for animals, & Thou were laid in a manger. For the sake of thy love and sacrifice, we firmly resolve not to commit sins against Thee.
Would Thou grant us Thy precious grace which we will carefully keep in order that if we die, we may be worthy of the glory of Heaven. Amen.

Act of Faith

O Pitiful Jesus! We absolutely believe that Thou art true God, the only begotten Son of God, and the legitimate Son of the Virgin Mary.
In acknowledging Thy goodness and charitableness, we praise and adore Thee.
And I humbly ask in Thy most Holy Name to grant us Thy grace, and favorably consider our petitions, if it would be for Thy glory and for the good of our souls. Amen.

Petition

Oh, ever-wise Jesus, who in your wisdom, has sent zealous missionaries to our humble shores to preach the Gospel to our forefathers so that they would see the LIGHT and embrace the CATHOLIC FAITH, we humbly ask you to give us a living Faith, so that we may always please you in all that we do. We ask his in Your Holy Name… (name the grace). Amen.

Divine Infant Jesus, I adore Thy cross and I accept all the crosses Thou wilt be pleased to send me. Adorable Trinity, I offer Thee for the glory of the Holy Name of God, all the adorations of the Sacred Heart of the Holy Infant Jesus.

Closing Prayers

Let us pray:
O sweet and merciful Jesus! Señor Sto Niño, the source of all goodness, we kneel before Your sacred image, imploring Your divine aid for universal peace and brotherhood among all men, enlighten the unbelievers and the heathens so that they will believe in You as their true God. Restore the faith of those who have wandered away from you, bring them back to Your fold with repentance in their hearts.
Grant also to the faithful departed in purgatory … (pause) … the remission of all their sins so that they will rest in peace forever. Finally, nourish and strengthen our faith in You, so that we will serve You faithfully on earth. Amen.

Concluding Prayer

O Sweet Infant Jesus, who didst come down from the bosom of the Father for our salvation, teach us how to be kind to our fellow men for love of Thee. If we love each other, we shall be giving a sure proof that we belong to Thee; for Thou didst say: “By this shall all men know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another!”
O Divine Infant Jesus, in Thy infinite goodness and kindness, listen to our humble petition; and if it be pleasing to Thee, grant our intentions in this Novena. Thou who dost invite us to come to Thee for refreshment and peace wilt not refuse to help us in this necessity.
