St Luke’s Feast Day
What do we pray to St. Luke for?
We pray to St. Luke for his intercession and guidance for our parish family, as well as in matters related to deepening our relationship with Jesus Christ our Saviour, creating new evangelization creativities and to apply cultural and spiritual values into our liturgical celebrations. We are also seeking his help in understanding and spreading the Gospel, as St. Luke the Evangelist did in the Bible.
What is the main message of St. Luke?
The main message of St. Luke, as this is also our main massage, is to present a detailed and compassionate account of the life, teachings and works of Jesus Christ, emphasizing his role as the Saviour of all people, including the outcasts and sinners. St. Luke emphasizes God’s love, mercy and compassion towards humanity, as well as the importance of social justice and care for the poor. He also encourages readers to follow Jesus’ teachings and put it into their own lives.
Our Feast
Our parish feat of St Luke the Evangelist is celebrated on 15th of October. We commence with the combine Mass at 10am. More details will be provided in the next three weeks.
