Christian funeral

Because of Christ, Christian death has a positive meaning: “For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” “The saying is sure: if we have died with him, we will also live with him. What is essentially new about Christian death is this: through Baptism, the Christian has already “died with Christ” sacramentally, in order to live a new life; and if we die in Christ’s grace, physical death completes this “dying with Christ” and so completes our incorporation into him in his redeeming act. (Catechism of the Catholic Church 1010)

Death is a passage from this life to the new life promised by Christ. This passage is to be experienced in the light of the Resurrection.  In faith and commitment to Christ and His Church, we believe and hope that one day we will all be gathered together by God, the Father, to dwell in God’s presence for all eternity.

Last Rites

While it is difficult time for a family, please call the Parish Office to arrange for Father to administer Last Rites to your loved one.

When a Loved One Dies

At the time of death, please have a family member call the Parish Office so that the parish community may pray with you for the family and the deceased. We will work with you and the funeral home to plan the services and schedule the priest.
